BARBER COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT
June 23- Theodore Rausch, Medicine Lodge, driving a 2004 Pontiac struck a deer on US-160 near Elm Creek. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy English.
June 24- Medicine Lodge Rural Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass fire at Gerlane Road and US-281.
June 25- Sharon Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to a grass fire south of Sharon.
June 26- Daphne Rathgeber, Kiowa, driving a 1998 Chevy van struck a deer on US-281 about five miles south of Medicine Lodge. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Deputy English.
June 29- Kiowa Rural Volunteer Fire Dept. and Elwood Township Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to a grass fire about two miles west of K-2 and US-281 highways.
June 29- Amanda Hays, Pratt, driving a 2004 Dodge pickup struck a calf owned by Gene Bell, Medicine Lodge, on the Lake City Road near Dog Creek. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Hall.
