BARBER COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT Mar. 2- Eric Jahay, Hazelton, driving a 2009 Chevy pickup struck a deer about 2 miles east of Hazelton on Catalpa Road. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Hall. Mar. 3- Medicine Lodge ambulance transported a patient from Curry Lane to Medicine Lodge hospital. Mar. 3- Dennis Ricke, Medicine Lodge, driving a 1991 Chevy pickup struck a deer on the Gyp Hill Road just south of the blacktop. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Deputy Hall. Mar. 4- Melissa Yust, St. John, driving a 2006 Ford SUV was blown off US-160 highway and into the ditch about 15 miles west of Medicine Lodge. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Rugg. Mar. 8- Justin James, Conway Springs, driving a 2011 Ford pickup struck a deer on the Deerhead Road about 1¼ miles south of US-160 highway. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Sumner County Sheriff’s Dept. and Deputy Rugg. Mar. 8- Kiowa ambulance transported a patient from Coates Street to Kiowa District Hospital. Mar. 10- Charissa Brown, Lake City, driving a 1991 Chevrolet struck a deer on River Road near Mingona. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Hutfles. Mar. 10- Gregory Denton, Houston, TX, driving a 2005 GMC pickup struck a deer on the TriCity Road just south of Ridge Road. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Hutfles. Mar. 11- Sharon Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to a grass fire about one mile north of Sharon on the TriCity Road. Mar. 11- John Gnoth, Sharon, driving a 2003 Chevrolet struck a deer on US-160 near Elm Creek. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Deputy English. Mar. 12- Medicine Lodge ambulance transported a patient from Papoose Road to Medicine Lodge hospital. Mar. 13- Medicine Lodge ambulance transported a patient from Lake Arrowhead to Medicine Lodge hospital. Mar. 13- Justin Rugg, Hazelton, driving a 2004 Chevy pickup struck a deer on K-2 highway about one mile southwest of Rattlesnake Trail Road. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Deputy English. ARREST REPORT Mar. 4- Stephen M. Miller II, 23, Medicine Lodge, KS. Arrested by BASO and charged with driving while license suspended. Released on $500 bond. Mar. 5- Stephanie D. Bacon, 34, Medicine Lodge, KS. Arrested by BASO and charged on Barton Co. warrant for failure to appear. Released on $200 bond. Mar. 6- Michael S. Giddeon, 36, Medicine Lodge, KS. Arrested by BASO and charged on Barber Co. warrant with theft, burglary, damage to property. Released on $5,000 bond. Mar. 9- George G. Thompson, 35, Sawyer, KS. Arrested by BASO and charged with forgery. Mar. 12- Israel E. Donley, 35, Great Bend, KS. Arrested by KWPD and charged with DUI. Released on $750 bond. Mar. 13- Jonathan W. Bough, 25, Kingman, KS. Arrested by KWPD and charged with criminal damage to property. Released on $750 bond. Mar. 13- Rex J. Masters, 24, Pratt, KS. Arrested by KHP and charged with driving while license suspended, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. Released on $3,000 bond. |
