BARBER COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT
Aug. 30- Sharon Volunteer Fire Department and Sheriff Tomson responded to a grass fire at Catalpa and Walstead Roads.
Aug. 31- Christopher Reuter Jr., Kingwood, TX, driving a 2010 Dodge pickup struck a deer on Ridge Road about one mile east of Isabel Road. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was investigated by Deputy Hall.
Aug. 31- Vickie McDonald, Medicine Lodge, reported a license tag lost or stolen. Report was taken by Officer Scarbrough and entered into NCIC.
Aug. 31- Jason Kessler, Sun City, driving a 1991 Ford pickup struck a deer on the Hardtner Shortcut about 4 miles southwest of US-281. There were no injuries and over $1,000 damage. Accident was worked by Deputy Rugg.
Sept. 3- Medicine Lodge ambulance transported a patient from Sharon to Medicine Lodge hospital.
Sept. 3- Kiowa ambulance transported a patient from 6th Street to Kiowa District Hospital.
Sept. 4- Medicine Lodge ambulance transported a patient from Hibbard Street to Medicine Lodge hospital.
Sept. 5- Deputy Rugg investigated a theft report west of Medicine Lodge.
ARREST REPORT
Aug. 31- Stephen M. Miller II, 22, Liberal, KS. Arrested by BASO and charged with probation violation. Released on $750 bond.
